What I need to use TamTam PBX?
To start using TamTam PBX service you just need: 1. Internet Connection
You will need a broadband Internet connection (xDSL, Cable, Fiber). It is not necessary that you have voice lines because TamTam uses your Internet connection to transmit your calls. To find out if your Internet connection is suitable for use with TamTam and how many simultaneous calls can you make, we encourage you to check our quality test .
2. IP Phones, adaptors or softphonesTamTam PBX allow you to make calls between internal extensions of your business but also you can call and receive calls from PSTN. To be able to use all the features of the service you will need: - Softphone: you can install in your computer a software application that allows you to make and receive calls. There are free and paid versions. To use them only need a computer and a headset. They have the disadvantage that requires the computer to be turned on in order to make/receive calls.
- ATA adaptor: it's a small hardware adapter that convert any conventional analog telephone in a IP one, enabling it to connect to an Ethernet network. They are usually quite affordable
- IP Phone: phone that instead of connect to the traditional telephone network, it do to the Ethernet network of your office.
